Where we came from
Before AiPaymentsLab, we were the operators — signing merchants, setting up terminals, boarding accounts, reconciling residuals. From that seat, one thing was impossible to unsee: businesses everywhere were overpaying for processing and had no idea. The markup hid in plain sight — interchange, assessments, padded effective rates, a maze of monthly line items. And every expert offering to fix it was really selling a new contract.
So we moved to the other side of the table. RatesNegotiator came first: read the statement like an insider, then negotiate with the processor the merchant already has. The NMI Toolkit came from our own daily gateway friction. The Clover Dashboard came from our own merchants' reporting requests.
